Music Ministry                                            /files/Family Ministry/News.jpg

There are a variety of music groups and activities for people of all ages. Every member of the congregation is invited and encouraged to participate in one or more of the following ministries. For more information, please contact (482-1250).

/files/Music Ministry/Organist.jpgOur choir director and organist, Marlon Scott provides music for our traditional Sunday services. We are currently rehearsing music from our choir and handbells.

Vocal Ensembles

Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and sings at the Sunday services. They sing a wide variety of challenging anthems from different styles and periods of sacred music. During church festivals (Christmas, Easter, and other special occasions) they present special music for both services. Membership is open to everyone high-school aged and older.

The Sonshine Choir is for all children through the fifth grade. They rehearse on Wednesdays during the school year. The children learn the rudiments of singing, music reading, and playing the choir chimes. This group sings (and rings) for worship services one Sunday per month.

Small Ensembles and Soloists are also a special part of our music program. Members who perform in these groups or as soloists are generally able to readily read music.

Bell Ensembles

The Agape Ringers is a group for those who want to learn how to play handbells. Music reading skills are helpful, but not necessary. The group rehearses on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m.

Praise Team

The Praise Team provides the music and leads us in worship at our Sunday morning 9:30 Praise Service. A variety of popular christian music is played and sung as part of this inspirational service.
