Long Term Bible Studies
"If you make my word your home, you will indeed be my disciples.”
~John 8:31 The New Jerusalem Bible
Experience spiritual growth and transformation through an indepth, 34 week study of the Old and New Testaments. Just as Jesus trained his twelve disciples to carry on his earthly mission, this study will train and equip you to live your life as a disciple of Christ. Disciple classes begin each year in August and end in May, taking short breaks for major holidays. Disciples must commit to: one orientation meeting, 1/2hour of daily Bible or workbook study, daily prayer, and weekly attendance at a 2 to 2 1/2 hour class. Disciple 1 is open to anyone regardless of previous Bible study experience. Disciple 3 (a study of the Old Testament Prophets and the New Testament Epistles of Paul) is open to anyone who has successfully completed Disciple 1.

9:30 Seekers Class - Chapel Parlor. Current series: Philip Yancey's Prayer, Does it Make Any Difference? In theory, prayer is the priceless point of contact between us, and God. In practice, it's often frustrating, confusing, and mysterious. Throughout this 6 session ineractive journey, Philip Yancey explores the enigmatic intersection where we meet God, asking- and answering- key questions: Is he listening? If God knows everything, what's the point? How can I make prayer more satisfying? July 27th - August 31
10:45 - Fellowship Hall. Current series: Andy Stanley's Take it to the Limit. A six-part message series for those whose schedules are too full and whose checking accounts are too empty! Our culture encourages us to live as if we have no limits. So we fill up our schedules and empty our bank accounts. We do as much as we can, spend as much as we can and acquire as much as we can. Life on the edge means life with no margin. Life without margin is a recipe for personal disaster. Margin is the space between your current performance and your limits. When you reach the limit of your resources, strength, capacity or self-control, you have no margin. And without margin, you have no room for error. The consequences of margin-less living are most apparent in our relationships. Love, intimacy, and friendship happen in the unstructured, unhurried world of margin. Together, we will explore God's answer to our self-destructive propensity to live as if we have no limits. July 27th - August 31
