Weekday Groups and Studies
The Get Connected brochure has descriptions of the Spring 2017 Bible studies and small groups. You may register for any of these classes online.
You may also be interested in these other groups, too:
- The United Methodist Women focus on fellowship, learning and local missions. We meet monthly October – May on the second Tuesday of the month to form a loving, caring group that acts upon our concern for others in our community.
- GriefShare, a 13 week session featuring video seminars, a support discussion group and a workbook, is for those grieving the death of a family member or friend. Contact the church office if you are interested in a future class; the most recent session ended January 2017.
Check the Groups and Studies calendar below for the most up-to-date information on class times and locations. Visit the Fellowship and Fitness page for more information on other classes and groups.
Adult Sunday morning classes are offered every week; some classes meet year round, others are offered on a seasonal basis. Newcomers are always welcome. Bible reading, discussion, laughter, prayer and coffee are a part of each lesson. For the most current class offerings, visit the Groups and Studies calendar below.
9:15 am Seekers Class – Chapel Parlor
The Seekers group, while large, is a true family of friends. We are an exceptionally welcoming group and at the same time very close to each other. As a result, many who come to visit decide to stay and join our Seeker ‘Family.’ We embrace many points of view, allowing everyone to express themselves without feeling judgement or intimidation. Facilitator: Dave Hamrick
9:30 am aBs – Room S8 (Sanctuary)
Led by Richard Sakornbut, adult Bible study (aBs) emphasizes the study of God’s Word. The aBs group makes an effort to understand each member’s search and faith. Our class is filled with many who did not start their life in the United Methodist Church, yet we recognize that a greater comprehension of the Bible will aid our spiritual development.
10:45 am Pathfinders – Chapel Parlor
Facilitated by Rick Burris, this is a smaller discussion group, which lends to openness and a great sense of community. Pathfinders uses a combination of video and book based studies.
