Sunday Mornings

J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) – 9:30 and 11 am

J.A.M. is our Sunday elementary ministry for children and it takes place on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month in Fellowship Hall.

Kids in preschool—5th grade begin the 9:30 am service in worship with their families. Before the service, you may check your kids in at the computer at the children’s ministry office in the Sanctuary Lobby.  Early in the service, children will be dismissed to Sunday School. Pick up your children in the Fellowship Hall after the 9:30 am worship service.

During the 11 am service the children meet in one group; check your children in at the Fellowship Hall kiosk at the beginning of worship.

Children meet together to experience God’s love through worship related to each week’s theme.  Following this activity, children then meet in age-appropriate groups with leaders to continue a more in depth study of these lessons.

We use Deep Blue Kids, a United Methodist Curriculum. With Deep Blue, children will make Bible stories, Bible people, and Bible passages a part of their lives. They will also come to know the Bible as THEIR book and find ways to let the Bible speak to them today! Deep Blue incorporates Bible stories, science activities, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games into a lived-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today. The Deep Blue kids—Asia, Edgar, and Kat—will lead the children through the Bible using animated videos that tell the story. The student resources-the Bible Story Stuff, the Kids Activity Stuff, and the Deep Blue Kids Bible—are colorful and engaging, encouraging the children to “dive deeper” into the Bible and explore their faith in fun and age-appropriate ways.

All children should check in at the kiosk no earlier than 15 minutes before the service. On your first visit, you’ll be asked to fill out a registration form, or you can pre-register online.

There is no programming for preschoolers and elementary age students on the first Sunday of each month (Family First Sundays), in order for children to participate in worship with their families.

Nursery

Nursery for children birth-36 months is available in the Sanctuary during the 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. On your first visit, you’ll be asked to fill out a registration form, or you can pre-register online. Pagers are available so you can be reached if your little one needs you! Of course they may also join you in worship.

Please check out our Weekday Play Day if you are interested in nursery care during the week.

Infant and Child Baptism

Baptism is a divine act, a pledge and gift God gives to us. Baptism of children includes the reaffirmation of the vows of the baptismal covenant by parents, sponsors, and the congregation; but chiefly it celebrates what God is doing and will do in the life of the infant or child. If you are ready to lead your child into a life of discipleship to Jesus Christ, with the support of this church, contact the Director of Children’s Ministry.
