Community groups are launching at Cypress Lake this month!
Community groups are a reclaiming of our defining beliefs as United Methodists. John Wesley believed that faith development began and was sustained in the life of a small group. Community groups are groups of 8 to 12 that meet 3 to 4 times a month for a year. Community groups are designed around building relationships, exploring God’s truths through scripture and supporting each other in prayer. As a result, group members receive accountability, belonging, and care. Community groups are a place for intentional relationships and spiritual growth. You can’t grow spiritually without connecting relationally!
Groups will start the last week of January, and we ask you to make an initial three month commitment to meeting with your community group. If you have already submitted a form, you should receive information about your group the week of January 24. The next round of community groups will form in May.Why community groups?
