This is the third year for our “Season of Caring” – a way of showing our thankfulness for God’s blessings in our lives. This year we are supporting three local causes through the Season of Caring:
- providing gifts and supplies for women and children receiving services through Abuse Counseling and Treatment (ACT)
- providing Christmas gifts for children in the Tice community
- collecting food for the South Fort Myers Food Pantry (November 17)
The trees in the Sanctuary lobby have “ornaments” with the ages and genders of children, or with gift card suggestions. Pick up an ornament, shop for the child or the item on the tag, and return your NEW items, UNWRAPPED or in GIFT BAGS with the tag attached, by November 17.
Reusable grocery totes will be handed out on November 10, which you can use to return your food drive items on November 17.
Suggested Items for the Food Drive:
Tomato sauce/spaghetti sauce
Canned meat: tuna, chicken, ham
Condiments: mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, salad dressing
Boxed side dishes: Hamburger Helper, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pasta
Monetary donations are also welcome to help purchase the above items.
Whichever of these opportunities you decide to support, we know that you will also be blessed by this Season of Caring!
