How can we embody the mission of God to a world that seems to change every day? Join us on March 14th for Thrive 2020 where, together, we will explore how we can strengthen churches and leaders for the mission, helping them take risks and have the courage to bring about deep change in their communities. Let’s be the church that changes the world!
We are excited to announce that Rev. Lisa Greenwood will join us to offer wisdom on how we can lead in a culture of change. Lisa will help us understand the current shifts we face and will share tools to free us to be the church in and around our communities. Topics will include:
• How to create adaptive ministries
• How to encourage innovation
• How to generate a culture of purpose and generosity
Lisa serves as the Vice President for Leadership Ministry for the Texas Methodist Foundation, where she helps pastors and laity discern and discover new ways to utilize their communities’ potential to fulfill God’s purpose. She is an Elder in the United Methodist Church with 20 years of experience as a pastor in the North Texas Conference.
Each participant will choose a morning and afternoon breakout session; selections include environmental practices and creation care, spiritual practices, digital communications and social media, equipping lay people, and aligning resources with our mission. Children ages 4 and up may participate in Godly Play sessions during the breakout sessions.Workshop descriptions and registration
