Local Outreach and Global Missions
Our Local Outreach and Global Missions teams support efforts in our area and around the world. Some are supported with financial assistance or supplies; others receive volunteer help or use the church’s facilities.
We aim to engage the entire congregation in missions by praying, giving, or going, in accordance with Jesus’ command to “be my witness in Jerusalem and in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Through our prayers, our giving, and our service, we will show compassion and support to our community, building a more Christ-centered world.
Holiday offerings at Easter and Christmas provide special funding for our Local Outreach and Global Missions work. Your generosity at the holidays, or any time you make a designated gift to Outreach or Missions, makes their year-round work possible.
The 2016 Easter offering supported the renovation of the Fort Myers Rescue Mission kitchen and provided clean drinking water to our sister church’s community of Moa, Cuba. The 2016 Christmas offering brought in over $28,000 to start a mobile ministry at the Clothes Closet at Faith UMC in south Fort Myers.
