Cypress Lake Youth is for any and all students in grades 6 through 12.

We are blessed to have the most amazing congregation providing us with a meal each Sunday for our group!

Your personal Bible, if you have one. Otherwise, we do have Bibles for each student to use as well as other items that may be needed!

As everyone arrives, there are games to play, friends to make, and an INSTAGRAM WALL to utilize! We will then pray and food! Next, we transition and sit together in SPACE (our additional, larger room) on our cozy and colorful Big Joe Dorm bean bag chairs! Cell phones go into the crate in the middle of our circle. Prayer requests are next (you can either say yours out loud or write them down privately). Next, we center ourselves with some deep breaths to settle in and then read & discuss the Message from the morning’s Worship Service. We’ll read the morning’s scripture together from our new Common English Bibles – to understand it and talk about how it translates to our world today. Before wrapping things up, we will always give them a challenge for the week! Then prayer and pick-ups!

The word Confirmation refers to the actual act of being confirmed during a worship service. Confirmation Class refers to the special journey Confirmands will take alongside their families, pastors, and Confirmation Mentors. Following the Confirmation Class journey, participants will then make the decisions for themselves to be confirmed. Confirmation Class begins in January each year, and Confirmands are confirmed in May. Confirmation Class is open to students in 7th grade and above.
